My No Bra Day post has went viral. I am so overwhelmed at the love - TopicsExpress

My No Bra Day post has went viral. I am so overwhelmed at the love and support that I have received from my friends and complete strangers. It has been liked almost 10,000 times and shared almost just as many. I certainly didnt post it with that intention but Im so glad my story is being seen by people all over the world. I have connected with over 100 new cancer victims and their families. I feel that being so young when I was diagnosed that maybe it will open some eyes and cause at least one woman/man to not ignore any suspicions that may have. There is no doubt in my mind that I had cancer when I was 21 because I already had the symptoms that ultimately sent me to get a mammogram 2 years later. I carried 2 children before I found out. If you wouldve asked me at age 23 if I thought Id be a breast cancer patient that year I wouldve thought you were nuts. Breast Cancer is for older women, right? I soon found out I was wrong. Ive read the shares that my post has gotten and out of the thousands I read I only saw 3 negative remarks. My post was compared to the Ice Bucket Challenge. The Ice Bucket Challenge is a fundraiser, much like a dunking booth at a fair. No Bra Day, however, is not. There is no money being funded to research or to patients. Now, if you want to go braless to a cancer benefit while writing them a check to help find a cure for this disease, then do that. My post wasnt intended to cause controversy but it did and thats ok. At least it was seen. Thanks again for everyone sharing my photo!
