My SWEDISH Connection Not long after I obeyed the Lord and came - TopicsExpress

My SWEDISH Connection Not long after I obeyed the Lord and came back to the Philippines, I received a phone call and he said that he wanted to serve the Lord in our church the following Sunday. The man said that he was with two other guys and they came from Sweden. This guy was working with STAR OF HOPE INTERNATIONAL then. According to him, the Lord spoke to him to come to Asia in the midst of his busy schedule in Scandinavia. When they arrived in Thailand, he was told by the Lord to go to the Philippines. He said to the Lord that he did not have any contact in the Philippines. He was told to go anyway. They stayed at Holiday Inn Manila. After their prayer, they went down the lift for a cup of coffee. According to him, they saw a church directory on the left side of the lift and that was where they saw our church’s phone number and called us on the phone. That was Saturday. I went to their hotel early Sunday morning to pick them up. These people from Sweden were big, blonde, and tall fellows. The tallest and biggest guy said, “Where is your car, Pastor?” I said I don’t have a car; I am just a poor Pastor. Oh! Poor Pastor indeed. It’s a pity! Then he said to me, “Go, and get a taxi then!” The taxi was small and he could not get into it and he broke his pants trying to get inside. It was rather hilarious and he has to go up to his hotel room to change his pants. I have to get a bigger taxi. When they arrived at our church, they were surprised to see that it was just a small church but a happy one because they saw everybody clapping their hands and joyfully singing to the Lord. The name of our church was Murphy Pentecostal Church near Cubao, Quezon City. Their leader who was the big guy destroyed our plywood chair when he sat on it. They took pity on the small children who were malnourished looking and promised to help them through a feeding program project. He also promised to help me buy a used car. I just kind of ignore those words to be honest. But one month after they returned to Sweden, I received the biggest surprise when I opened our box office and there a check for $3,000.00 with a note saying, “get yourself a used car, Brother!” Praise the Lord! Hallelujah! This must be from God! Just curious, my wife and I went to the Holiday Inn Hotel where our new friends stayed and we wanted to see the “church directory”. No church directory can be found near the elevator as our Swedish friends told us. Then, we asked several hotel workers about the church directory and they said. “What church directory? I have been working here for ten years and I have not seen that church directory that you are talking about. Besides, we don’t put church directory in our hotel! Then, who put it there? Surely, God works in many mysterious ways according to others! I call it, DIVINE PROVIDENCE! This was the beginning of our partnership with Star of Hope in Sweden for the work in the Philippines.
