My Science paper is done! What do you guys think? Deanna? Trip to Pluto Pluto, the last planet in our solar system. One day on Pluto is 6.39 days on earth. A year on Pluto is two hundred and forty eight years on earth. My dad used to tell me stories about how Pluto was once considered one of the main planets, but now its a dwarf planet. Its 2088 and man kind is finally ready to send a man to Pluto, Im on the crew. The radius of Pluto is 1,430 miles (2,302 km) and has 5 moons. The planets composition is unknown as of now and its mass is 1.30900 × 1022 kilograms. A long time ago the Hubble Space Telescope discovered that Plutos density at between 1.8 and 2.1 g/cm3, suggesting its internal composition consists of roughly 50–70 percent rock and 30–50 percent ice by mass. The moons, Charon, Styx, Nix, Kerberos, and Hydra are next to be explored after Pluto its self. Its been 20 years since my father started the pluto exploration project. Im 25, hes been working on this most of my life. He passed away a year ago from a heart attack, he put his life into the project and eventually it killed him. Im the Captain of the Pluto mission because I want to prove to my dad I cared just as much as he did. Pocky lets go its finally time My partner Deanna says. Deanna Johnson my second in comand shes just as qualified as I am. I stand and walk to her grabbing my supplies and walk with her to the loading dock. Its finally time... time to make my dads dream a reality. We walk onto the ship and take our seats along with out other crew members. Launch! The voice over the intercom says and we blast off into space. Once we break earths orbit we all unbuckle and go to the windows. This was my 3rd time in space but for Deanna and some of the others on my crew it was their first time. I laugh and smile when they start to oooh and aahh because of the surroundings. Pocky floats over to the bed chambers and opens her pod. everyone we should go to sleep, when we wake up well be able to see Pluto The others nod and lay in their pods. It takes 5 years to get to Pluto with our new technology. We all lay in our pods and when they close it takes moments for us to fall asleep. My pod opens and it felt like I was only asleep for moments. I rub my eyes and look at myself. My hair is much longer and my nails are too. Luckily our suits grow with us. I go to the bathroom and cut my hair and nails back to their normal length. My brown hair is about ear length and my bangs rest just above my brown eyes. I like the cut I hear Deanna say behind me. I smile and turn around seeing her hair and nails grew as well. I leave the bathroom to go check on the rest of my team as they start to wake up and line up infront of the bathroom to cut their hair. I look out the window and see Pluto and its beautiful color. wow... I whisper staring out the window. I float to the shuddle front and check all the Instruments. Mission control we have woken up we are going to begin health measurements I get up and go back to the crew knowing itll take about 4 hours for that to reach Earth. I start to make sure everyone was healthy and we begin to work out on to keep our bodys strong. The pods had artificial gravity which kept our bodies strong when they were sleeping. After awhile I go back to the radio waiting for a response from misson control. A very staticy response comes in. congradulations a male voice says. I smile big and leans back in the chair. we did it... I whispers. My crew and I cheers as we start to take pictures of Pluto. Our ship gets closer and Deanna and I go to the shuddle. when we touch Plutos ground well radio you before leaving the ship do not do anything until you hear from us. I say before closing the door. My dads dream, my mission, is finally happening. ----To be continued----
