My Shakespearean education is incomplete so I bought the Complete Pelican Shakespeare and Im going to tackle it as a sort of bucket list thing. So far Ive read the following plays and seen most of them performed: Hamlet, King Lear, Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, The Tempest, Midsummer Nights Dream, Measure for Measure, Othello, As You Like It, Henry V, Romeo and Juliet, Julius Caesar, The Taming of the Shrew, The Merchant of Venice, and of course the Scottish play. Clearly I have some histories in front of me but a few of the comedies and tragedies as well. Going to start with Loves Labors Lost. Have any of you already read the complete works? What are your favorites? Thus far I have to say Hamlet is my favorite, but Im looking forward to all of it since his work is so textualicious.
