My Sunday Soapbox One of the many issues with politics is the Looney Zealots (too many to mention here by name & names dont really belong in stories anyway). Their goals are always more important than yours/mine/ours. Can you say - Control Freak? Tyrant? They exercise power in a harsh, cruel, or destructive manner. The Looney Zealots are oppressive, harsh and arbitrary. They are annoying, inconsiderate, and demeaning. Can you say “let’s shut-down the government?” Can you say, “let’s sue the President?” - for doing his job (and for the record, President Obama was not my first choice.) Putting your best foot forward, or trying to respond in a kind, thoughtful and constructive way to their toxic malarkey doesn’t work. All you get is the same hate-filled rhetoric. The Looney Zealots need their own political party – how about the Zealotry party? Oh wait – we don’t really need another party - we already have the Tea Party.
