My Sunday sermon: The atavistic life desired for humanity by fundamentalists of any religion is an affront to the scientific, social, and moral advances of humanity. It is pernicious for a civilised world to even think that the simplicity and ignorance of ancient middle eastern goat herders be held in a more noble light than the rational evidence based knowledge and technological achievements of 21st century humans.
