My THOUGHTS for the Day now that my Birthday is over and done with - TopicsExpress

My THOUGHTS for the Day now that my Birthday is over and done with for another year. I look back and think I never imagined I would make it to 65. I once climbed the mast at Ganges to the button. In Aden, I was shot at by Arabs in the Crater district while seconded to 42 commando and Colour Sergeant McAdams. One occasion we had a grenade thrown at us. Been a ship’s diver. Been in a few bike races at Blackbush aerodrome and crashed at high speed while racing on two wheels. Had 3 serious motorway crashes at high speed travelling home on week-end leave while in the mob. Chatham to Southampton. Jumped out of 3 aircraft on a chute. Had Warrant Number One onboard HMS Aurora and got off later with no charges. (Cpt. Janion) Got married then divorced after seven years, caught the bugger with my wife when he least expected it. Threw him out of a second story window. Got locked up for that but not charged. Sacked my solicitor cos he was loosing my case in court at Southampton and I won on my own (she paid all my costs)!! Have two sons, Simon and Marco. I am a grandfather as well these days. Known loads of women and loved almost everyone of them. Fell in love with a few WRENS as well. Especially the ones I danced closer with. Always remember Mary H (a Dryad RP wren) from Birkenhead. Broken some hearts too I don’t doubt. There has to be some chemistry too for it to work while being a red blooded male. Every woman is looking for the same thing in life, a future with a man who loves her with all her idiosyncrasies and faults and feel be protected by him. I’ve met some right Bastards in my time who treated their women like shit. Never understood it. Been in one or two dating clubs but it didn’t work for me although I met some stunning and also disappointing women (they lied on their applications). No chemistry. So I became a work-a-holick and stayed that way for another 15 years. Eventually I became a predator once again looking for a female ( Matelot ways never leave you) but times had changed. No more TOP RANK and even the MECCA Dance palace was going out of fashion and pulled down. Every man has to plays his cards and takes his chances. You get nowhere with out trying and networking. The basic rules of life taught to me by our Ganges instructors you never forget. Look after your self then your close oppo and then those around you and it works. It’s a fact. I’ve tested the theory many time over. Life is what you make it and you get nothing for no investment. To give is better then taking all the time and none of us are perfect. My wife is a fabulous dancer and she keeps me young. Well……I’ve just finish my evening Metaxa 5 star brandy and re-reading this looks like a ruddy sermon. I like to write my thoughts down sometimes or is it me just getting older by the day yet I still think I’m about 35ish…………End.
