My Thoughts On Gameweek 8 Chelsea Apart from the game vs City, - TopicsExpress

My Thoughts On Gameweek 8 Chelsea Apart from the game vs City, this was their 2nd most difficult game. Chelsea are quite physical when need be and showed some real guts to come out with 3points. Costa has been scoring the goals but isnt their talisman. Fabregas is their best player and the danger man. You keep him quiet and you reduce their potency. Man City Prior to the red card, Spurs were very much in the game. It was an entertaining game to watch. Although the ref awarded some dubious penalties for both teams. Once City had an extra man on the field, there wasnt really any doubt that City would go and finish the game off. Aguero had a great game and when fit is the best striker in the league in my opinion. Its unfortunate that hes had constant niggling injuries that break his flow. If he can go for 3 or 4months playing every week, hell definitely soar to greater heights. City are starting to father points and are the only team closest to Chelsea in terms of form so as per usual its gonna be a 2 horse race for me. Liverpool The important thing for Liverpool was to get the 3points. They havent reached their best yet but its important to just win. They need to keep doing the same in terms of getting the 3points and you never know where that will take you once you start playing at your best. They still struggle to defend properly, esp the long balls and set pieces. We saw their signature counter attacks which did them well last season and which they still very good at. All in all, an important win to keep the points board ticking. Arsenal I didnt expect Arsenal to drop points this week. I know they are thin at the back but expected better. I guess thats just how unpredictable the BPL is. In the end its 1point gained as it could have been worse for them. Every week it gets harder to predict the bottom 2 of the top4. Besides Arsenal, Liverpool and United, theres Southampton who are playing better than all 3teams so its exciting stuff ahead. Man United It looked like United had turned a corner after getting 2wins in a row for the first time but West Brom was always gonna be a tough game. Again, the defensive vulnerabilities were exposes by West Brom with some good finishes. I think Rojo had the best game in that whole defence. Jones was caught out of position for the 2nd goal and was in no mans land. RVP hasnt looked himself since the start of the season and maybe needs a rest or 2. Falcao should become the main man upfront with Rooney once hes back. With the exception of hitting the upright late on in the 2nd half, he didnt really do much. Again Di Maria was again their best player and again contributed with another assist. If they play the way they did today in the next game vs Chelsea, it could be an embarrassment for them. The important thing is to keep the points board ticking.
