My Thoughts: Well this Sunday, 7th September 2014, is going to be a sad day :( For so many years we have been a part of our sons footy career. Gosh, its been 27 years! From under 7s at Norths, then Aspley, then onto the big stage. When I think back of when I washed AND ironed their team jerseys .. Polished the footy boots .. Cleaned the mouth guard with toothpaste and brush .. Ironed the crease in the footy shorts .. Ahhhh I could go on. .. but I will tell you this. Those years were the best years of our lives. We met and made life time friends. Attending every training session, every game, every rep game. (I even flew to New Zealand!) We have met some of the nicest young men that play this great game. Real role models for the young ones. This weekend brings to a close a large part of our existence. I just know I am going to cry :(
