My WCW is Whitney Houston and this classic song One Moment in Time. I enjoyed the olympics so much more in this era when it was true amateur athletes living their dreams. Versus now when it is the pros just playing another game. She had a great voice and great songs but a very tragic life! May she RIP. One little known fact that happened before the internet and I may have been wise to leave it off the internet, but WTH you only live once. I think it was 1991 or 1992 and I was with some friends on my first Cruise in the Caribbean. There was a group of 7 ladies traveling together from MI and 3 ladies traveling together from Indiana. There was a passenger talent show one night and these 10 ladies I had become friends with told me that if I did a performance they would all stand up in the audience and yell Baby! Baby! Baby! well I took them up on it, had a TUX with me and wore that and when the Cruise Director announced me, all around the Theater the 10 ladies and the 5 friends I was travelling with all got up and yelled Baby! Baby! Baby! That was probably the best moment of the performance. I sang, or at least attempted to sing this song by Whitney Houston with a live band as accompaniment. It wasnt a complete crash and burn but it was NOT pretty. I was quite the celebrity the rest of the cruise though! So anyway Whitney is my WCW since she and this song brings back some wonderful memories. I may have to go on another cruise soon.
