My afternoon: exit from road blocked in one direction by roadworks (lorry blocking the available carriageway) and in the other by a cement lorry spewing cement; held up half a mile later by more temp traffic lights; car exiting Tesco carpark in the entry lane so had to wait while it sorted itself out; only my size not there in M&S; necessarily speedy purchase in Tesco hampered by elderly couple with laden trolley, dispute about pin number etc in the Baskets Only checkout; broken down lorry on main road out of Altrincham at 5pm, thus causing traffic build-up possibly back to Stockport....... Then I came home and watched footage of those people in the Philippines, any one of whom would gladly have swapped their plight for my trivial frustrations. Perspective is everything!
