My baby Alby was doing zoomies this evening with his buddy Zelda, and he came inside with this wound. Not 100% sure what caused it but after his accident I went hunting around and found a bent nail sticking out of the fence (left by lazy tradesmen!) Now that the nail is out of harms way, my question is, since it is 8.40pm and our normal vet is closed until the morning (and I dont think this requires the emergency centre): how can I treat this overnight? Wash with saline solution? Apply betadine? Cover or air? Should I discourage him from licking? TIA xo
