My baby girl Hope somehow cracked her nail from underneath. I was at work when this happened. My boyfriend, mom and dad helped stop the bleeding. When I got home and saw her I lost it. I was a worried mother. We wrapped it with gause and paper tap so she wouldnt snag her nail on anything that nite. As soon as my alarm went off at 8am I called my vet, they said bring her in at 9. They told me it was cracked and she had to be sedated and have the nail removed completly. They said its really painful, likea human having a nail pulled off. They said it will grow back slowly. She has a wrap on her foot for the next few days. Shes not suppose to jump up or down or do stairs till it heels. By far after the first day I cant get her to stay still. You know how are little puggies are. Lol. Shes doing better then I suspected.
