My babys story: champ was my first child after my his band and I got married I was home every day alone while he was at work I decided I needed a best friend to spend all day with we decided to go look in the shelter just to look and there we saw our baby sitting in the corner laying in his own pee to.scared to come up to the edge of the cage. We had no intention of adopting a dog that day but we knew he had to be ours as soon as we held him his tail started wagging like he belonged with us and.he knew it. After we adopted him more vet bills came he had kennel cough and worms that took forever to get rid of and we also struggled with how fearful he was we still think it was because he wasnt even 2 months old yet when he was neutered then returned to his cage. Champ has since became the most loyal companion I have ever known and never has to worry about.sleeping in a cage again because he has a spot on the bed every night and never has to be hungry or scared like many dogs in the shelter now.... my family has since became a.foster family for animals pulled from the pound here in Lawton many of the animals even the sweetest of animals are food aggressive and skittish but.it is so wonderful to see them realize they dont have to guard their food because they will never have to be.hungry again
