My beautiful son Mitchell has taken a long time to lose his teeth, having only lost one prior to last weeks second one. Taking him with me after school as I had to go to the Doctor, Mitch says Mum, can I ask the Doctor a question?. Of course you can I answer....but what was the question?. I just want to find out where the tooth fairy lives but I actually have two questions. Having a little giggle to myself we head into the Doctors, I am seen and at the very end of the appointment I said to the Doctor with a big wink Now, Mitchell has a couple of questions for you as well if you dont mind? Of course I dont mind he says as he sits back in his seat and crosses his arms. Come over here and tell me what I can help you with. Mitchell inches up to the Doctor in his usual shy manner and says Um, well, I want to know where the tooth fairy lives? With a look on his face worth a million dollars, the Doctor looks at me with a smile and eyes saying Um, what do I say... and I said The Tooth Fairy lives in the sky of course...doesnt she?? With a look of relief, the Doctor says Yes...yes, she lives in the sky. He then elaborated to Mitchells satisfaction. And you had another question? the Doctor asked Mitchell looking a little perplexed at what the next question could be. Um, well I want to know if you brush your teeth more, does the Tooth Fairy bring you more money or is it a flat rate????? Being a champion, the Doctor kept his laughter at bay while he explained that YES, brushing your teeth more WILL MAYBE get you a little more money.......poor bugger. Once home, Mitchell asked me for his tooth back out of the glass of water it was sitting in next to his bed so I retrieved it for him. Minutes later, I hear some strange sounds coming from Mitchs room and making my way in there I find him with his tooth in his hand, brushing it with toothpaste and all....in the palm of his hand. When I asked what in the world he was doing, he replied as if it was the most normal thing in the world Youve gotta do what youve gotta do Mum...Ive lost two teeth, everyone else has lost more teeth so Im getting as much as I can for this one!!!!!! Even the Doctor said so.....!
