My best friend Todd took his own life when he was 18 years old. Today he wouldve turned 40. In a week filled with talk of depression and suicide it only reminds me of how strong he actually was to have been such an amazing light in his 18 years. I did not believe this at first, I was confused, angry and felt abandoned. Over the years of dealing with my own depression & anxiety Ive come understand the struggle and know many who have found ways to live with it and unfortunately others who have not. Todd was the sweetest funniest and most caring person Ive ever known. He cared so deeply for others, especially those that were suffering because I believe he would never want others to feel the way he did. In the end he reached a point where he could no longer survive and the darkness finally won. I dont judge those who cant understand depression or suicide because I would never wish upon anyone the world that comes with that. I miss my friend Todd every day but I know he gave us everything he had and for that Im grateful. Happy Birthday Todd . Love & miss you. #HappyBirthdayJaggs
