My bestest friend Jane Chung suffered an unimaginable loss last week. Her dad was hiking in the morning with his wife and a random guy violently robbed him. In moments like these its hard not to be angry, but instead choose to hope that more people in the world get light and love so they dont feel they have to pick up a gun in the first place. Her dad was gone too soon - just like that - in one second, and all our worlds were shattered. The thing is, that gun didnt just shatter their family. It broke all of us a little bit. It broke me a lot. It broke everyone who knows and loves each member of their family and loves me. I had never been confronted with a nightmare in that way. All l I wanted to do was reverse time, imagine that we could, and wake up believing it was all just the worst dream ever. Their strength has been tremendous. The outpouring of love they have received reminds us all that the good outweighs the bad every day. He will live on so much in Jane and Jack - he raised two of the most beautiful children on the planet. I forever thank him every day for giving me my sister Jane. Life is precious. Hold each other closer. Please dont argue. Forgive. Be Grateful. And please shower light and love on those who need it most. This is the film she made in his honor. We will miss you.
