My big announcement has apparently piqued the interest of many FB followers. There has been a lot of hustle and bustle within our community as we celebrate the holiday season enjoying laughter, love, and family and friends. We share traditions that have been handed down for generations. When I announced I had something big to tell most of your thoughts went to a lot of things. It reminded me of the word game we as children played where you would whisper a word to one person and by the time the last person heard it, the word would be entirely different than what the first person said. Whispered rumor, the double-edged habit, the stuff of life all seem to bond with others. My announcement has been news for a longtime. Some have accepted it and some have not. Some have kept quiet while others have boldly spoken out. My news is not about tinsel,or fancy Christmas wreaths or delicious food for the body. My news is simple and one you have heard before....many years ago the angel announced good news of great joy that a tiny babe had been born. He has been whispered about for generations and many have celebrated His birth. As we prepare to begin a new year please accept my challenge to tell the good news of why this tiny babe was born. Jesus Christ came to be our Saviour. He forgives us of all our sins-the whispers of unkindness, the selfishness, the lack of love and compassion. He was about His Fathers business. Do we need to be about our heavenly Fathers business? Proclaim the Good News this Christmas Day and everyday! Having Him in your heart will make for a blessed year!
