My brief encounter with Robin Williams. When my son Cosimo was around 3 years old I was carrying him down Mercer street when I stopped to say hello to a couple of friends.. While we were chatting Cosimo starting crying in my arms making it hard for me to have a conversation.. All of a sudden a heard a voice behind making weird little noises and singing in a high pitched voice.. It sounded so familiar. Cosimo started to laugh so I turned around to see who it was and to my surprise it was Robin Williams in the flesh.. Making my boy laugh in my arms. He was so kind to stop for a moment and bring some joy to us on Mercer st.. He shook our hands and asked Cosi if he felt better? Then he said goodbye and walked across the street and left us with huge smiles on our faces.. Such a special moment.. So much love for Robin Williams.
