My brother Tim goes in for surgery this morning at 8am, after being struck by a car a little over 2 weeks ago. They are removing the rods that have kept the bones apart waiting for the swelling to go down. The swelling hasnt gone down as much as they would have liked but if they dont operate now he will run the risk of the bones starting to heal wrong and infection. After surgery he will have at least 3 months recovery and have physical therapy.
