My buddy Gordon Walton sums up pretty well how I feel about our public servants supposedly protecting our liberties and freedoms. This discussion was generated from the Austin urban farm dust up. * * * * * Gordon Walton. The so-called public servants LOVE division between the people. PODER (and many other activist groups) are unwitting tools of the people in power. (the fact they think they can get justice from the same systems that screwed them over the first place is bizarre to me!) Government encourages us fighting among ourselves to justifying their ruling us to arbitrate for the public good. Thus the FEAR of losing urban farms will encourage us to end up supporting rules that actually are terrible for our best interests, and that directly assault our freedom to have food independence. And almost without exception every single elected official is violating their oath of office to the constitution which is all about *limiting* government power and preserving our individual freedoms. We have to stop giving these people any legitimacy at all, and refuse to comply with their tyranny, or simply leave their jurisdiction. Ive just about given up on living in Austin, its overrun with closet totalitarians who want conformity to their progressive vision of some strange urban utopia. * * * * * END
