My candle burns at both ends; It will not last the night; But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends - It gives a lovely light. (Ecclesiastes 9:10) Only our body goes to the grave. We will be with our Lord where there is knowledge and wisdom. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. (II Corinthians 5:8) While we are alive on this earth, may we serve the Lord with all our hearts, for Only one life twill soon be passed, and only whats done for Christ will last. May our lights always shine brightly while were here, even if its only for a short time. Though he died at the age of 29, David Brainerds light shone exceedingly bright.
