My children sit down to homemade meals and play outside 45 minutes every school day. I cook their meals, but they pack them, warm them and eat them. They even use cloth napkins that they made as part of a class project. Our homework this year is to eat dinner together and get at least 45 additional minutes of unstructured play and read together for 30 minutes every evening. Its a public school...but a very special public school with like minded parents, administration and teachers. Yea...Im bragging just a little bit but only because Im feeling so lucky to have found such an amazing place.
