My comment of the day from the NYTimes: "Prior to the Patriot Act, Prism, and data mining the government had all the information necessary to prevent the 9/11 terrorist attack but failed to connect the dots. Even after having these security measures in place the government failed to prevent the massacre at Ft. Hood and the Boston Marathon bombing and in both instances the government had enough information to possibly prevent these attacks, but again failure to communicate or connect the necessary dots allowed these attacks to succeed. Even the attempted Times Square bombing was not prevented by the comprehensive NSA programs, but by a street vendor and an inept terrorist." Exactly.
