My comments regarding the Jeremy England paper: Basically, he published a paper entitled Dissipation-Driven Adaptive Organization which claims that life is bound to form easily in the Universe based on a single underlying entropy principle. However, the most simplest cell imaginable is a highly organized operating system which does not rely on entropy in regard to its functionality any more than a laptop computer self-organizes based on a single entropy principle. Proteins HSP-90 and HSP-70 alone defy his work -- as their job is to identify bad protein folds, rectify bad protein folds, and even mark folds that are beyond repair as trash, which are then dismantled and disposed of by an entirely different set of biochemical nanomachines. Theres an assessment process which defies a simple entropy principle, and its very much a teleological process --- as there should (in theory) be no such thing as a bad fold, yet the system knows when the transcription process is not running according to the DNA Blueprint. Best case scenario (if we take at face value that his principle even works at all) is that hes mapped out a semi-irrelevant principle similar to explaining why a ball tends to roll down a hill and not up a hill, which in no way, shape, or form actually explains the origin of the hill, the ball, or Tapioca pudding. Jeremy England is the number one reason why Physicists should not be commenting on Biology... Enjoy. englandlab/uploads/7/8/0/3/7803054/2013jcpsrep.pdf
