My commitment to Pine Rivers... If I am re-elected, I commit to serving Pine Rivers by continuing my support for local businesses and local jobseekers by holding my annual Careers Expo, or a similar event, each year. Getting locals into work is a passion of mine (before entering Parliament I worked for 5 years in Indigenous employment, running Work for the Dole projects and as a Case Manager for long term unemployed jobseekers). The Careers Expos I ran in 2013 and 2014 were joint events with Trevor Ruthenberg MP and Peter Dutton MP. They included workshops on resume writing and interviews techniques and are run to support jobseekers and local employers. The Careers Expo is a practical demonstration of my commitment to local jobs.
