My commute to work this morning was entertaining to say the least. I believe, adventurous is the word. I was already running a little late because there were the typical two wrecks around Scott Depot on I-64. I finally get on the back road to work from Cross Lanes to Guthrie (Fishers Branch) and a little LAMB comes running into the road!! It was right in a dangerous curve so Im freaking out and hes just screaming. So I drive my car up the steep gravel driveway to try to get his owner. No dice. No one home. At this point the whole herd of sheep are screaming at this little lamb trying to get him back up the hill and hes just crying... Oh, and Im about to cry. I start running down the hill (thankfully I had emergency flip flops in the car) and try to lure him up toward the gate. He finally starts coming to me (Also, keep in mind Im trespassing this whole time on this backwoods farm). Well, he finally gets up the hill, but instead of going through the open gate, the little guys starts ramming the fence. Not the sharpest crayon in the box. I try to go pick him up and carry him to the gate but he runs (Probably because my new dress made me look like a two-legged walking zebra). Finally he rams the fence so hard he forces himself under while I stand by the open gate looking like a fool. Nonetheless, he was safe. Moral of the story: Dont wear a new Michael Kors dress to save an animal. They have no regard for fashion, nor do they have common sense to walk through open doors. Honestly, theres really no moral here. It was just a weird commute. Oh, and then I drove through a mini-mudsline. Time to work!
