My complaint to Three mobile: Dear Three, recently I came - TopicsExpress

My complaint to Three mobile: Dear Three, recently I came across a letter from SRJ regarding some money that I owed you. At first I was taken by surprise and thought you might have got the right name but wrong address because my phones network provider is O2...never the less I read on. The letter was telling me that I owed you guys some money from back in November (around the time I cancelled my contract with you) and that a series of procedures would be carried out in order to reclaim this debt. Those procedures were that SJP would be: - start trace activity to confirm current residency - a door step agent would be sent to visit me - a private investigator would carry out enquiries - a credit reference agency would carry out searches After reading the severity of these procedures, I began to worry and grow paranoid and concerned at the possible multitude of debts I had accumulated in the 10 months of not paying a debt with you guys. I began to inspect the letter only to discover the debt was for £29.65 (not even a whole £30). I remember one time, I let a friend borrow £35 once because he said he would give me it back later that week. Later that week fast approached and my bank account still had that £35 dent in it. In fact, weeks went by and I still didnt see that money. After several month I grew sick and tired of asking for £35 so you know what I did? Ill tell you what I didnt do....I didnt send a swat team to barricade his house with police helicopters demanding he came out with his hands in the air holding a 20, a 10, and a 5. I didnt send assassins to his house to kill him in his sleep. I didnt even try to locate his residency, send door agents and private investigators to his house....I just let it go and vowed to never lend him money again. So you would understand my frustration when a multi-million pound award winning company goes to drastic measure for the sake of £29.65. I dont know if I have expressed the magnitude of which I find your company pathetic. Its no wonder I cancelled my contract with you. Inf act, when I rang up back in November to cancel my contract, the person who initially answer the phone harassed me. The conversation went a little like this: Rajesh: Hi youre through to Three mobile, Carl speaking, How may I help you me: Hi Im just ringing to cancel my contract immediately please Rajesh: Oh Im sorry to hear that Mr Johnson. Before I put you through to the contract termination dept. Is there anything I can do to make you stay with Three mobile sir? me: nah can you just put me through please Rajesh: What if I offer you the [latest phone at that time] with [mediocre internet speed] for [price not far off what I was already pay]? me: nah Im okay mate. I already have a new phone thanks Rajesh: Can I ask you why you want to cancel your phone Mr Johnson? Me: because I have a new one now so can you just put me through Rajesh: Can you be a little more specific Mr Johnson? Me: I have a new phone and dont want to pay two contracts. Can you just put me through thanks Rajesh: What if for [price cheaper than previous offer] a month I give you a [latest phone at the time] with [even more mediocre internet speed]. You wont have to pay anything for [for arguments say...lets say three months]? **This went on for about 10 mins and he finally puts me through** Shilpa: Good evening Mr Johnson, youre through to the Contract Termination Dept. Before I cancel your contract may I offer you [exact same offer as Rajesh offered me] Your associates practically begged me to stay. And then you go to such extremes for £29.65. That phone call to cancel my contract cost me at least £45. Anyway....Ive paid your £29.65. I hope youre happy now. Understand I will never get a contract with you guys again. Des
