My dad and I about to watch the Cesar Chavez movie. My parents as well as some of my family worked the fields during the Cesar Chavez era in California. They met Chavez and joined the Huelga (strike). Chavez mission was to end the injustice towards the farm workers, fighting for dignity, respect and equality but in a nonviolent way. I had no idea what Chavez, my parents and his supporters went through to fulfill this mission. Name calling, violence towards Chavez and his supporters, anything and everything to stop Chavez. Even through all this, Chavez fulfilled his mission by getting the equality for the farm workers. My parents and my family were a part of history. Im proud of my parents and family for standing strong and supporting the Huelga and Chavez mission, love you all. You are my heroes! Si, Se Puede! Nada es imposible! Happy Cesar Chavez day.
