My dad had a stroke on Sunday morning. He had the where-with-all to tell my mom right away "somethings not right, get dressed, I need to go to the hospital". He did not deny the symptoms of left sided weakness. There are amazing medicines now that turn things around for this IF you get there within that precious 60 minutes. My dad has always been my greatest mentor. I am of the same mold. My dad works his ass off. Nothing is ever good enough, it can always be better. He takes calculated risks. He gives more than he has to give. He challenges himself and others to be their best everyday, and do it with a joke and a laugh, and to roll with the punches. At 78 he refuses to quit working and helping others. I am blessed that my dad is here today. He is the wind beneath my wings. I hope to be half the woman, of the man he is.
