My dad has been extubated and no longer under danger of his - TopicsExpress

My dad has been extubated and no longer under danger of his pneumonia. He is breathing better but now his blood cell and hemoglobin numbers are very low and they will be doing a blood transfusion in the morning. Im scheduled to fly to the PHilippines to handle some family issues, assess my parents assets and properties and get them back home (to the States). These last few weeks have been stressful, confusing, irritating and worse of all I have felt helpless. I will be leaving the shores of the US for the first time in my life (I dont count Tijuana and a family trip to Toronto when i was 9). Can my body handle the trip, will I have the strength to make the hard decisions for my parents and how do I deal with scores of relatives I have never met? Am I going to freak out at every hand-sized spider I see and will a Wendys Frosty and those McDonalds French Fries taste the same as here in the States? I leave in a little over a week. Wish me luck and please send bug spray my way.
