My dad used to open our drug store on Santa Fe Drive in Downtown OP for a few hours on Christmas morning. He did this as a service to customers who had forgotten to buy film and flash bulbs (remember those?), batteries and such before the holiday. We never really made any money, but there were always a few desperate people who had a happier day because of it. His Christian employees enjoyed the day off with their families.
