My damn honesty got me again. Think I will be fired today. It was a good run... Start at the bottom and work your way up... Worth the read. Fwd: OSV Phones - NGV new Gail, It is great to finally hear from you, I have addressed all of these situations for five years. You and I have had this discussion, and while being told to “be patient”, nothing has changed. I have had zero contact with SAIC management despite numerous attempts to reach out. My emails and phone calls are not returned. Forgive me for my honesty, but I fully stand behind every statement made in that email. The customer witnesses everything I stated in the email and is well aware of the situation. Nothing stated is new information to anyone. This entire operation is broken. You cannot expect someone to be degraded every day and not stand up for themselves. I have followed appropriate channels for years with zero results. I am sorry that it has come to this but facts are facts. You have not done yourself or your teammates any favors. As well, you are not in a position to speak for the team. You need to send an apology to our customers for including them in such an ugly email. Gail From: Bergey, Will Barger. (WFF-7630) Subject: RE: OSV Phones - NGV new Chip, No offence, but this is ridiculous. Everyone at WFF is so tired of your attitude. I have tremendous respect for your attention to detail and what you are able to accomplish, but brow beating everyone to get your way is simply uncalled for. I receive awards from NASA all the time for my effort and what I am able to accomplish. When there is a hurricane or a disaster who is one of the only people asked to be on base? The answer is me. Scott Webb (code 763 branch head) YOUR CUSTOMER has nothing but respect for me. No one on center understands how I accomplish what I accomplish all by myself and I am constantly compliment for my work ethic and what I do. I am ONE person. You have a full team, and functional help desk, and a team of subs. I fully understand GSFC has a lot more users, but we have missions, and constantly fluid project requirements that you are not always a part of. It has been clearly articulated to me that you are NOT a manager by SAIC. I have had virtually ZERO interaction with Bob Haines. I have been outcast form the NGV project. No one has put on their big boy pants and been man or woman enough to have a real conversation about where any of this stands and what the future holds for us as employees. I have saved your ass on numerous occasions on projects at WFF and GSFC, yet you are the first person to throw me under the bus at any opportunity you have. When anything catastrophic happens at GSFC you call me to fix it. When I was offered this position, I took care of over 200 accounts in the Pacific Northwest (40 million dollars a year in business) Mostly fortune 500 / Fortune 100 / and Government accounts. I ran 30 different crews of sub-contractors from my home while working systems remotely and it was perfection, and everyone was smiling while doing their work. Then I left my house in the evening to do upgrades and hardware replacements after hours often not returning until 2 or 3am, and starting over the next day. I was nationally recognized by my company three years in a row. YOU personally and the complete disrespect you show me consistently, and the utter lack of SAIC management have left me with zero confidence in the future of this position. I have turned down three six-figure plus jobs on the west coast this year alone because I want to be at NASA and make a difference. Let’s talk about the MLCC job for a second. I managed KCI for 5 years. We NEVER hit a cable. We NEVER had a safety issue. We NEVER were impacted by a no-dig situation. They NEVER worked a mile outside of the job site. It was perfection. Not ONE week has gone by that they have not had an issue, problem, cut cable, shutdown since I was removed from the project. (I’m sure it is a total coincidence). KCI (formerly the most subcontractors on base were going to be kicked off base without my intervention) you’re welcome… My position here should pay close to 200k on a national average. I make ¼ of that. And I have to deal with this on a daily basis. I have not had an increase in 5.5 years. No bonuses, none of the training I was promised when accepting the position knowing I was taking a massive pay cut (PMP/RCDD/CCNA-V). I was on the bleeding edge of technology when I came here; I was head of installations and trained at a TAC level because I was motivated and ambitious. I have received NO legitimate training since coming to Wallops. And I have sat in this chair as 5.5 years’ worth of technology has passed me by. You treat me like a child and that it is my first day on the job. I have offers to run companies because of my ambition and competency level, and you personally have sucked all of the ambition out of me here. I am by far not the only one that feels this way; they just don’t have the fortitude to say anything about it. I will have the remainder of the phone that YOU incorrectly built deleted and PROPERLY built by the end of the day. I will send you an email when it is done. I do have voicemail and a cell phone. Maybe next time instead of calling everyone in 763 looking for me, you could actually call me. Again, if I had any management here or any intelligent direction I would gladly keep them in the loop on my activities. I have been able to outperform everyone in my field since I was 19 years old so this has never been an issue in the past, but PLEASE… assign me a baby sitter that I can constantly update my every movement with while supporting every building, launch pad, mission, operation, and user on this base single handedly so we won’t encounter issues like this again. In case you lost it my cell phone number is 757-694-5180 (it doesn’t work in half the buildings on center), but there is this cool new invention called VOICEMAIL. I just want to thank you again for bad mouthing me so much to SAIC management that my future at WFF is sitting in this chair and going nowhere at best. You are one of the most interesting people I have every worked with. Nothing but respect for the way you get things done, but personally, and I’m not alone on this, you are a horrible human being.
