My day in a township, Kayamandi, started out with an invitation to a lunch where 20 plus community members were invited to a house to have lunch and chat. I feel so honored to have been invited! Sitting amongst the community members and listening to them speak about their fears and overcoming difficulties and what they individually are doing in their lives... it was so inspiring. I then spent some times with the kiddos at the Legacy center, where Ive been volunteering all week. My evening there ended with a fire.... Walking around the township during this was an intense experience... I am in the middle of my jump, which I started in 2011 into the unknown and more often than not, I feel like I dont know what I am doing and if what I am doing matters .... is helping, but todays experiences reminded me that even the smallest things one does in life matters and at any given moment situations change, be thankful and do the best you can do each day. Remember its not the big things one does every once in awhile that matters, but the small things one does every day. Live. Love. Be present. And appreciate all persons and experiences.
