My day job is working as a Engineer supporting automating provisioning of IAAS and PAAS. Let me tell you that nothing beats manual configuration in terms of conciseness and cleanliness. Most of the mess that I deal with is due to the provisioning system mucking up somewhere somehow. Automation is awesome if you need to deal with like over 100 systems and tie it to payment and billing. So, in all my days, I find that the platform with the least issues are those running CentOS. I was severely tempted to name my newborn CentOS at one time. CentOS is just awesome
