Let us start to reduce dishonesty in the handling of monies and collections. These monies and collections are derived from: 1. COLLEGE FUND 2. SG FUND 3 PE UNIFORMS 4. ACQUAINTANCE PARTY FUNDS 5. COLLEGE T-SHIRT COLLECTION 6. INTRAMURALS FUND 7. MR & MS NORSU FUND 8. HUGYAWAN FUND 9. LANYARD COLLECTION 10. CHEERING SQUAD FUND 11. CHEERDANCE COLLECTION 12. DANCE SPORTS COLLECTION 13. MODERN DANCE COLLECTION 14. CHOIR FUND The approximate amount for items 1-14 is P1390-P1465 Around P36,500,000.00 in an enrollment population of 25,000 15. FUPTA COLLECTION - P150 Approxiately P7,500,000 this school year 16. TOUCH FUND (CEA) 17. EASS FUND 18. COURSE FUND The approximate amount for items 16-18 is P290-325 Approximately P15,000,000 this school year 19. GRADUATION FEE 20. ALUMNI FEE 21. YEARBOOK 22. DIPLOMA 23. TOGA The approximate amount for items 19-23 P1750-2000 Approximately P7,000,000 for graduating students this school year 24. COMPUTER MAINTENANCE FEES - P200.00 25. OFFICIAL MISCELLANEOUS FEES (INCLUDED IN THE SCHEDULE OF FEES) - P2060 for 1st & 2nd Year & P1925 for 3rd & 4th year Most of the items mentioned above (other than item 25) are individually collected by various organizations, student government and college department heads. While the collections are justified to be spent for a purpose, WHAT IS NEGLECTED IS THE PROPER ACCOUNTING OF THE SAID FUNDS AND COLLECTIONS. Financial Statements, such as liquidation of expenses and advances, are not readily available. When this happens, the funds are immediately subject to graft and corruption. The keeper of the funds would have temptations to misappropriate to their own use. Huge amounts were never liquidated and when the semester and school year ends, the keepers of the funds go scot-free and never held liable. Nobody then becomes accountable. All transactions then will never be transparent. We call upon all of you, to implement control mechanisms so as TO ESTABLISH WHO IS ACCOUNTABLE and to insist on THE SUBMISSION OF FINANCIAL REPORTS ON TIME so as TO BECOME TRANSPARENT AT ALL TIMES.
