My dear pal (and world-class luthier) Kevin Ryan’s son James Dietrich Ryan is in his Senior year at Marina High School. From very early on, James has shown a keen interest in and acumen for baseball way beyond his years. One of the tools available to him for scouts to “get a look” is a 28-second YouTube slow-motion video showing his pitching form. It certainly wouldn’t hurt for him to up his view-count, so I’m posting the link here and asking you to give it a click and, if interested, a look.. He’s already throwing 90-mph. Elena and I are as proud of him as if he was our own son. We have a handshake deal that, if possible, someday I might get a chance to sing the National Anthem at one of his games! (With love to James from “Uncle Bob” and a shout out to Barbara Ryan who, of course, will always get the Hi Mom greeting on TV.)
