My dear sister-in-law Kerry Robin Svee Reif gave me the number 7, so ready or not: SEVEN THINGS YOU MAY NOT KNOW about Paul: 1) Im the youngest of three, born when my mom was 41. A rare occurrence in the late-50s--so much so that the doctor actually thought I was a tumor. He may be proven right yet... 2) I have been told that, after not saying much for the first three years of my life, I started to read at age 4--and havent shut up since. 3) I played in the Fort Snelling Fifes and Drums in the mid-70s, discovering the challenges of playing an 1820s snare drum in a wool dress uniform on a 90-degree day. 4) My wife Corie Lindemann and I met at the student-run radio station at the University of Minnesota. I wanted to work in radio; she wanted to work in TV. We both discovered there were things we wanted more...like food, a place to live, you get the idea. 5) I participated in a comedy show at said radio station, which won an award from Alpha Epsilon Rho, the national broadcasting fraternity, in 1980. A bunch of us flew to Las Vegas to accept the award--my first plane trip at age 21. 6) I can impersonate 30+ celebrities, cartoon characters, politicians (some categories overlap) and dialects. Some you may have even heard of! All of which my family members are sick of... 7) I proposed to Corie in May 1980 on the West Bank River Flats on the U of M campus--one of my better decisions over the past 33 years. OK, you know how this works--like this and Ill give you a number, then its your turn!
