My dear, wonderful, caring face book friends. I cannot respond to all the amazing comments and messages, I hope all who have sent words of support will see this. Will cut and paste to my last posts hoping all will read these words. I have been through a lot in my life however these last days, I might add weeks if I include cousin Ernie, have been very exhausting to say the least…………... Now for some AMAZING NEWS….. My beautiful boy Krishy is still with me. I woke up in the middle of last night with my boy lying beside me. The tears flowed, I had arranged for Ben to come to put him to sleep at 11.30 this morning. I somehow went back to sleep, only to wake to see Krishy staring into my face with his paw on my chest. His eyes were bright and when I said, hello my darling boy, he gave a gentle meow back. He sat up, walked off the bed, I have a big cushion for him to step down so he doesn’t have to jump from the bed to the floor. He then proceeded to walk to the kitchen. He sat by his plate, looked at me as if to say, where is my breakfast? My goodness, he ate like there was no tomorrow. My girl Sharnee appeared, seemed to understand Krishy was still here. Her behaviour over these last few days has been strange to say the least. After Krishy had eaten, he went over to his chair where I normally give him a gentle brush. I heard a very soft purr, not having heard this for nearly 4 days. Ben seems to think his reaction to the valium and his body to process the drug, has caused him to have a bad side effect. I am to monitor him for the next couple of days. Ben thinks the seizer was most likely caused by overheating, me putting him under the air con with polar fleece around him. I know Krishy is frail and near the end of his life however who am I to take his life from him if he is still eating, drinking and still has curiosity. I asked cousin Ernie if he was ready to die. At near 103 he said, no I still have questions to ask, things to learn and have not given up on life. Who am I to argue with that? Love to all including all the sentient beings with whom we share this very fragile planet. xxxxx
