My dearest Brothers and Sisters in Islam Remember Jannah is not free, you should work for it :) Often times, we do things that we do not ponder about, we say words that we do not think if we would offend someone or not, we just do what we will, what pleases us and what we want and need, but then question remains…why? It’s just strange that when we do actions that get us into such trouble, such trials, such endeavors that we don’t know whether we would survive or not, but ask yourself, why, what pushes you to go on? to survive? to struggle this much? Do we find such rescue in people that we “trust” in times of such troubles we get into? Some may stay but most turn their back from us, sad but this is the truth. We always try to put our trust on the wrong people just because we are blinded from such eloquence of their speech or such beauty in their eyes but then again, at the end, only rescues us, only one stays, someone we forget and neglect most of the time. Don’t we realize that someone above us continuously provides, sustains, and watches over us? It’s not surreal, but it’s reality. Ponder much about the fact that He could take us whenever He wants, and make us leave this world like in a snap of a finger, but you’re reading this because He sends upon you His Mercy, His Guidance, His Light, His Love, yet again we neglect. Have we ever realized that more than wanting His Guidance, we should also work for it, nothing is spoon fed to someone who doesn’t struggle, you cannot attain Paradise without going through obstacles, remember what He says; [1] Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you?… Remember Jannah is not free, you should work for it, and this world is your battleground for it, so you should also find ways to rescue your soul from the cruelties of this dunya, so bow down.. bow down to the One who Rescues, the One who Saves, the One who you Flee to, bow down to Allaah. Know that whenever you bow your head down, prostrating upon Allaah, you have given your soul for rescue. You have to have the will, so you could be rescued, show Allaah that you deserve to be in Jannah, that you deserve to dwell in His Paradise, that you as created by Him will return to Him, pleasing Him to the best you can. Bow down and be reminded of what He says in the Qur’aan; [2] …Submit yourself with obedience to your Lord (Allaah by worshiping none but Him Alone) and prostrate yourself and bow down along with those who bow down. [3] [Such believers are) the repentant, the worshipers, the praisers [ of Allaah], the travelers [for His Cause], those who bow and prostrate [in prayer], those who enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, and those who observe the limits [set by] Allaah. And give good tidings to the believers. [4] …and Perform As-Salaat [Iqamat-As-Salaat], give Zakat and Irka’ [bow down or submit yourselves with the obedience of Allaah] along with Ar-Raki’un. [5] “Verily, your Wali (Protector or Helper) is Allaah, His Messenger, and the believers,-those who perform As-Salaat (Iqamat-as-Salaat), and give Zakat, and they bow down (submit themselves with obedience to Allaah in prayer).” [6] But prostrate and draw near [to Allaah]. Subhan’Allaah, do we not want to be among these people who were described in the Qur’aan as believers because they bow down to Allaah and enjoin what is good and forbid what is wrong? Or do we not want to rescue our souls by prostrating upon Allaah? That whenever we put our heads down, Allaah forgives us? [7] Muhammad sallallahu ‘alaihi wassalaam said; When the worshiper stands up in prayer, all his sins are brought and placed upon his head and shoulders, so whenever he bows and prostrates, they fall from him. Subhan’Allaah. Is this not enough reason for you to bow and prostrate upon Him? Everyone wants to be forgiven, but not everyone has the will to ask for it, so ask yourself, will you ask for forgiveness? ____ And we pray to Allaah that He shines upon our hearts His Guidance and Mercy for us to be able to have the will of becoming closer to Him, day by day. in sha Allaah. Amin. Zohayma ____ F.N. [1] Qur’aan 2:214 [2] Qur’aan 3:43 [3] Qur’aan 9:112 [4] Qur’aan 2:43 [5] Qur’aan 5:55 [6] Qur’aan 96:19 [7] Bayhaqi | Tabarani.
