My dearest precious FB friends and family, (most of whom I knew as a child) You have blessed me beyond words with all your comments and likes on my new profile picture. Holidays bring the sadness that many of us have experienced when we’ve lost a loved one (in my case numerous in the past 2 years) especially when you go to call them and have to say, “Oh dear, I can’t do that anymore.” Included in the above is the loss of a fiancée who found someone else before the door hit me in the tush! Lol He is recently engaged again. I’ve been sinking into depression and of course (having been such a good Italian Catholic lol), the first thing I do is start mentally beating myself up. Yep, guilt and shame were my mother’s forte. Lol Along with that is “God, I am old already.” But then again having gotten to know the Lord in a different way now, (which I have noticed we all have WAZOO), I know I can trust and rely on him to let me sit on his lap and in his loving arms and just cry it out. He reminds me (or tries) that he loves me and he saved me from death and ultimate destruction and that eventually I will live out my days as a new creation. NO OLD people in heaven Lol works for me. However, in the mean time it’s pretty easy for me to be attacked with sad thoughts. I sing praises, pray and rebuke everything and anything that is NOT happy. Lolol FYI My daughter, Sarah, is a professional photographer and when she sent me the pictures I actually asked her if she “tweaked” it. She said, “No, momma that is what you look like.” Well I’ll be jiggered.
