My dogs are so smart that they have not only been trained to bark when someone knocks or rings the doorbell, they are also self-trained to bark -if they hear a knock or ring on tv. Their senses are so finely honed that if someone on TV says hey, hi or hello they will certainly let loose with a rousing chorus of bark-o-mania in order to keep any unseen and/or electronic visitors at bay. I have learned never to interfere with their watchful vigils... many of which are done while they are sleeping.. by never saying hello out loud for any reason.... for it is certain they will suspect burglars on coming in from every window, doorway and possibly plumbing and show loud intense disapproval of any such going on. Sigh. We often have a lot of barking going on in here. (life at the moores)
