My experience as of tonight as well as many other nights here in Spain. You order a glass of red wine. (To them its table wine, to me its decent quality Spanish/Italian wine) for about $1.71 american dollars a glass. They bring you a small plate of olives... Then you order a second glass of the same wine at the same price and receive some cracker/peanut assortment. A third glass of wine got me a platter of sliced tomatoes with fresh garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper and another free glass of wine on the house. I had the most amazing typical Spanish experience and all I can say is how fantastic it is to be here! My final check was almost exactly $7 american dollars. Where in the states can you get service like that???
