My experience as outpatient at DEMC has been good. But DOCTOR MEJAR GULAM has really surprised me. When my hubby and i entered his office, he was making a call (using an old Nokia hp) to the counter asking why we had to pay cash. He sounded very concerned, and we explained that its ok and it was our mistake for not selecting our panel clinics yet. After treating my hubby, i asked him to diagnose me too. He was very thorough and explained everything patiently and at great length to each of us. He was also very creative in his explanations, and using metaphors I fully understood the sickness and cure. When we received the medicine and bill, we were so surprised. The charges for my hubby was so little, we think it only covers the medicines, and not his fees. We also think that he didnt charge me at all, like doctors would normally do. We felt guilty. Most of all, it left us feeling humbled.
