My family and I were fortunate to host my friend from Ethiopia, Dr. John Balikowski, this weekend. He was in town for meetings to speak and help raise funds and awareness for our Bible Training Centers in Northern Ethiopia. Dr. John is a dentist by trade and a missionary by heart. We had a great weekend. We made tremendous progress. We are incredibly fortunate to be part of such a mission driven church like Selma United Methodist Church. I am also blessed to have such a wonderful, supportive family. I would encourage any of you to host a missionary. They have amazing stories and experiences illustrating Gods love. Our lives were all enriched. A note on missionaries: Missionaries are bearers of God’s love. So if you would like to become more loving, host a missionary. They are also people of great faith. So if you would like your faith to grow, host a missionary. They see the lost world with the eyes of our Father, looking for His lost sheep. If you’d like to see what God is doing in the world, host a missionary. Missionaries love children, just like Jesus did. So if you want your children impacted for Christ, host a missionary.
