My father migrated from India after partition and lived in Lahore - TopicsExpress

My father migrated from India after partition and lived in Lahore initially then Rawalpindi. Ive been living in Rwp and Islamabad since my birth in 1979 and have spent my whole educational and professional life in this city. But honestly speaking I heard the word mohajir first time in my life when I went to Karachi in 1991 (my 3rd visit). What does that explain??? I never felt any sort of discrimination from my friends, fellow students & teachers in school, college, university nor from my colleagues in organizations where I have worked. What I mean to explain is that this mohajir phenomenon has been created by MQM in urban Sindh for just political reasons. It has nothing to do with welfare of Urdu speaking community in Karachi. So, for people who still follow MQM whose leader is not even a Pakistani should think with little maturity please and stop supporting the people who are not sincere to Urdu speaking community of Karachi.
