My father passed away on Wednesday, after a long bout with cancer. What a great, great man, who showed me how to be a man (Im still waiting to apply some of those lessons, Dad!). Father to three (and two daughters-in-laws), grandfather to eight, and great-grandfather to two, he was always a caring and loving person. He lived a great life. Lived to be 80, was very smart with his money and the market and retired at 55, to spend more time with the woman he loved (my mother, whos been amazing through all of this) and to play golf. My joke was, they drove the moving van to my wedding in 1992, then drove to Florida with my mother to hit the links six days a week. Star basketball player, 3-handicap golfer, and a tremendous father, grandfather, and husband, his wonderful personality and tremendous sense of humor shined through always. Ill miss you, Dad. And his beloved Red Sox are still world champions!
