My father served in WWII as did his 2 brothers .He was at Normandy and fought his way thru Germany. One bother fought thru Italy and the other the Philippines. I am sure all of them suffered from PTSD. They came home and picked up a bottle not a gun. My brother in law served in Vietnam and suffered from PTSD and Agent Orange, he picked up a bottle and not a gun. They also did not commit suicide. I am trying to understand the difference between them and this generation of soldiers who choose to pick up a gun or commit suicide when there is a supposed support system out there. Are the majority of suicides men who were disfigured? In the past wars these men would have died on the battlefield. Its such a shame.... these young men seem so lost.
