My father was a pharmaceutical chemist during the second half of the twentieth century. I witnessed the deep satisfaction he and his colleagues had witnessing their work eradicate diseases as old as time. When he was a child countless classmates passed away from numerous centuries old diseases; when I was a child this no longer occurred. From the mid-century on Birth Control was developed because worldwide populations were no longer being kept in check by the scourges of diseases that had once balanced populations since human history was first recorded. Now, on the one hand birth control may be derided as Playing God, but on the other hand, which person of Faith (including myself) wont rush to the hospital to have his or her life saved by man-made therapies facilitated by Darwins theories?
