My favourite Christmas hymn: Once in Royal Davids City, sung by - TopicsExpress

My favourite Christmas hymn: Once in Royal Davids City, sung by Kings College, Cambridge choir, accompanied by the attending congregation. I like this version because unlike other, more polished performances, this one includes the regular voices of regular people - the congregation. When this is performed as a Processional, sung only by the choir, it will lift you to Heaven. Watching the video, think about this being the chapel at your small college on the River Cam in Cambridge, England...yes, your chapel! This chapel is considered the worlds greatest example of Gothic architecture, boasting the worlds largest fan-vault, and the chapels stained-glass windows and wooden chancel screen are considered some of the finest from their era. The building is seen as emblematic of Cambridge. The chapels choir, composed of male students at Kings College and choristers from the nearby Kings College School, is one of the most accomplished and renowned in the world. Imagine being able to walk into this magnificent sacred space any time you wish to worship, find inspiration, meditate and find spirituality - 24 hours a day. https://youtube/watch?v=pc_Mo2KrIzw&index=1&list=RDpc_Mo2KrIzw
